Bentonite Clay

  • Has a negative electrical charge that attracts and binds to positively charged toxins, metals and impurities. This bond helps the body remove such toxins and impurities, creating cleansed pores and tightened skin.

  • Helps absorb excess oils from the skin. This is great for oily or acne-prone skin!

  • Aids in soothing irritated skin by reducing redness and inflammation - a great perk for those with eczema and psoriasis! 

  • With its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, bentonite helps to promote healing of minor cuts, scrapes and insect bites.

French Green Clay

  • Highly effective at absorbing excess oils, French Green Clay is ideal for oily and combination skin types. 

  • Draws out toxins and impurities, giving skin a clean matte finish by controlling sebum production!

  • French Green Clay's anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties can be beneficial in managing fungal skin conditions, such as ringworm.

  • Holds antioxidant properties which aid in repairing damage caused by UV exposure - bye bye sunspots and pigmentation!

Rhassoul Clay

  • Originally mined from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, Rhassoul is a mineral-rich clay that's skincare uses date back centuries!

  • Helps to improve skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of fine lines, thanks to minerals such as silica.

  • Provides gentle exfoliation and aids in sloughing off dead skin. 

  • Unlike other clays, Rhassoul helps skin retain its moisture - preventing dryness and promoting hydration. 

  • Rich in magnesium, potassium and calcium, Rhassoul is nourishing and safe for even the most sensitive of skin.

Activated Charcoal

  • Known for its adsorptive properties - meaning it both attracts and traps toxins from the skin, Activated Charcoal leaves skin with a deep clean!

  • Acts as another sebum regulator, which brings balance to skin complexion by balancing oil production and reducing "shine".

  • Fight the funk! Activated Charcoal can help neutralize body odors by trapping and eliminating odor-causing substances

  • A bold natural soap enhancer, free of harsh chemicals that works on even the most sensitive of skin. 

Olive Oil

  • Utilized for centuries, Olive Oil is a rich and nutrient element that is safe for all skin types! 

  • Locks in moisture due to its rich fatty acid content, vitamin E and, oleic acid properties. 

  • With high concentrations of antioxidants, Olive Oil neutralizes free radicals that lead to premature aging and skin damage. 

  • Is your skin extra sensitive? Olive Oil is a hypoallergenic element that is void of synthetic chemicals and fragrances.

  • Extra safe for babies!

Shea Butter

  • Rich in natural fats, Shea Butter is derived from the nuts of the African Shea Tree. 

  • Full of fatty acids such as oleic, stearic and linoleic, Shea will leave your skin with long lasting hydration and protection.

  • Eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis are just a few of the skin conditions which Shea can provide relief and reduced inflammation to. 

  • Naturally provides a mild SPF and protective barrier to the skin, shielding it from environmental damage and harsh weather conditions. (DO NOT USE IN LIEU OF SUNSCREEN)

Castor Oil

  • Derived from the seed of the Castor Bean, Castor Oil is a powerful moisturizer that is rich in ricinoleic acid, which helps to lock in moisture. 

  • Feeling a little rough around the edges? Castor Oil helps sooth rough, dry patches of skin. 

  • Aids in the reduction of dark spots, hyperpigmentation, blemishes and scarring.

Avocado Oil

  • Hate the taste of avocado? Well lather up and reap the benefits on your skin!

  • High in vitamins E & K, which are effective in repairing and regeneration of damaged kin. 

  • The rich vitamin and fatty acid profile of Avocado Oil support collagen production, which is critical for maintaining skin firmness and reducing saggin skin.

Goat's Milk

  • Goat's milk naturally has a pH level that is similar to the human skin, making it a gentle and non-irritating cleanser for all skin types!

  • HIgh fat and protein contents allow for deep clean skin, without stripping the body of its natural oils. 

  • The lactic acid contents (AHA: alpha-hydroxy acid) in Goat's Milk help in exfoliating dead skin cells to provide brighter and smoother skin.

Trinity Oil

  • Equal parts olive, coconut and palm oil, Trinity Oil is one of the most common bases for cold process soap making. 

  • ​The combination of these 3 oils provides soap stability, bar consistency, and pairs well with most common additives!

  •  The palm oil used is this blend is certified by RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) which ensures that it is sustainably sourced. 

  • This soap base provides a rich lather and phenomenal cleansing, all while leaving your skin moisturized and feeling fresh!

Coconut Oil

  • Coconut Oil has natural antibacterial and antifungal properties due to its high lauric acid content. This is a big plus for those with acne-prone skin!

  • Another hypoallergenic oil, void of synthetic chemicals and fragrances. Coconut Oil  is safe for most all skin types.

  • ​Despite what you may think, the fats of coconut oil actually help balance oil production of the skin. 

  • Plays a key role in the stability of soap bars. helping to achieve a consistent, creamy and smooth bar. 

Essential Oils

  • Provide natural fragrance void of synthetic chemicals

  • Many possess therapeutic properties, such as: calming effects, antibacterial properties, and muscle relaxation.

  • Some oils have cleansing, anti-microbial effects, leaving both your skin and soap fungi-free.

  • Offer a wide variety of skin benefits, including but not limited to soothing sensitive skin and targeting oily, acne-prone skin. 

  • Scents from the oils have aromatherapy benefits, helping to improve mood, reduce stress and promote overall well-being.

Lye, Saponification, & More!

  • Sodium Hydroxide, also known as lye and caustic soda, is a basic crystalline compound responsible for the saponification process. Saponification is the chemical reaction between the fats, oils and lye, to produce a firm, final soap product. 

  • During saponification, the soap molecules form hydrophilic (water-attracting) and hydrophobic (water-repelling) molecules, which are what help to lift and remove dirt from our skin. 

  • Glycerin, another natural by-product of saponification, is a natural humectant. Meaning that it helps maintain and provide moisture to the skin.
